Motorola Moto X40 with SD 8 Gen 2 breaks AnTuTu high score

The Motorola Moto X40, likely known as the Edge 40 Pro in Western markets, is still awaiting release. We've had various reports and leaks and we know for a fact that it runs Qualcomm's recently announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Now, the general manager of Lenovo's mobile arm has shared his AnTuTu score.

The result of 1,312,901 is about 30% higher than what we get on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 smartphones. Even the Plus variant of the SoC barely manages to break the million point barrier. In fact, some devices show less than that. This seems to be in line with Qualcomm's claims of around a 35% performance boost over the last generation.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 uses the latest generation ARM CPU cores: 1x Cortex-X3, 4x Cortex-A715 and 3x Cortex-A510 along with a new Adreno GPU that promises an improvement of around 25%.
